Taking Down Goliath - _TNY_4290
This beetle nymph of some sort was probably stepped on or something similar, causing a not insignificant chink in it's armour and leaving it stationary. The ants siezed the opportunity and swarmed the poor thing.
Not perfectly happy with the photo - the black and very reflective carapace messed with my flash and metering.
