Lunch Interrupted - TNY_0097
I stumbled on a juvenile raft spider (Dolomedes fimbriatus) who just had caught its lunch on an ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare).
The meal was however interrupted by a couple of crafty small black ants. One nibbled at the tip of one of the spider's legs and when it was chasing that guy away the other ant made his way down the stem with the fly.
