(671a) Near Threatened RHINOCEROS HORNBILL Male- [ Kinabatangan River, Borneo Of Malaysia ]

Me and another couple were jumping for joy to have finally seen this guy flew overhead across the river. We've been looking for him for a couple of days.

This Rhinoceros Hornbill is one of the largest hornbills, adults being approximately the size of a swan......In captivity it can live for up to 90 years...

The rhinoceros hornbill faces a number of threats, including loss of habitat and hunting for its meat, its feathers and its casque, which can be carved into an ornament.

It is the national bird of Malaysia....Wikipedia.
