A Heavy Load

.....for the mother OSPREY.(The female is the bigger of two adults.)

From the pattern of the fish I have concluded that this fish is a Muskie instead of a more common Northern Pike. (A Muskie is the utimate prize for a freshwater sport fisherman in Canada.)

 

This bird is 2 feet in length and weights between 3 - 4.4 lbs(Wikipedia). And a fish expert had estimated that the fish must weight at least that.
