Bowditch was the site of the first field trip for my Florida Master Naturalist class (Coastal Systems module). To get to Bowditch Pointe, simply follow San Carlos Blvd. in Fort Myers (it's off Summerlin) south over the Mantazas Pass bridge. After the bridge, the road terminates at Estero Blvd; hang a right and go to the end, and you're at Bowditch. Be sure to pay for parking if you don't have a Lee County parking sticker.
