We assembled bright and early at Hickey's Creek Mitigation Park, and underwent a brief bit of field training. This included a demo of the size and status of the dens we might see, and an overview of the methodology behind collecting sample data. Then we broke up into sub-teams, piled into various trucks, and headed out to survey our transects. Photo: Erin White
