Medieval Reenactment

I'm not much of a blogger/writer but I feel like this upload deserves a little back story description to it.

 

I was on my way to take some portraits for a friend that was in a wedding at Phipps Conservatory today. After I was all done with taking some flicks at Phipps I headed back home. I took Washington Blvd and I got the red light at the end and looked over and saw these two in an all out battle. They were not holding back just fighting it out. It was awesome so I immediately pulled over and asked to take some pics.

 

I talked to them for a bit and they are a part of a Medieval Reenactment Group in Pittsburgh that meets every Sunday in the field along Washington Blvd. I just caught the tail end of their practice. They said there are about 20-30 people that meet there every week. Their names were Joel and Emily. (I'm pretty horrible with names so I hope those are right) I could tell they are very nice down to earth people and I'm defiantly thinking about going back soon and taking more photos. They said next week they are having a melee type all out battle with everyone fighting at the same time.
