In 1972 Miles Davis was ready to Funky Music. Sly & The Familystone e.g. was one of his sound ideas. And this is the result.
The music has changed quite a bit form his previous studio album Live-Evil.
The rhythm section and the bass makes is funkier than ever. Miles uses his electric trumpet like a percussion instrument, like a whip.
John McLaughlin's part is on the side 1 fantastic. He plays better than ever.
