Polar Bear and Cub Sallyhamna, Svalbard

A dead whale had been frozen in the water over winter and as the water thawed, Polar Bears came from all around to feed. This mother had a radio collar, in an attempt to locate the denning areas where females give birth. This cub is six months old.
