Lammergeier v Rüppell's griffon vulture

This was the moment when a Lammergeier attacked a Rüppell's griffon vulture in Ethiopia's Simien Mountains. This rather surprised me as Lammergeiers (the top left bird) eat bone marrow while Rüppell's (bottom right) eats meat, so the two aren't really competitors. But the Lammergeier seemed to take exception to the invasion of his air space and lunged at the Rüppell's from above. The Lammergeier with a wingspan up to 2.83m averages larger than the Rüppell's (2.6m) but there is overlap.
