Pied Piper

Thanks to the Eurobricks Christmas Raffle last year, I’m finally able to make the Pied Piper minifigure I’ve always wanted!

Ok, not always. I’ve never known much about the character other than his name and general gimmick; but when he rolled around as a villain on CW’s The Flash, he turned out to be an awesome character; and one I wish was used more often. Pied Piper has never really had a history outside the comics, but he was translated well for the show. The arm weapons seemed like a good fit for the character (much more menacing than a pipe—although I do love both comic and show designs anyways!) Granted, that doesn’t mean the CW’s Pied Piper translates well into a minifigure—there’s really no good purist solution for the arms other than barely passible prints.

So I went with a more classic look to utilize the often underutilized Jawa head piece. The torso is the back print of Angelica from the PotC line (for some reason, the circle symbols seem to symbolize sound to me, which works very well). I also threw in the pipe because when the hell am I ever going to find a use that piece again it fits the comic design well. Either way, I can’t wait to see more of him on the show!
