This drawing is part of a series that will be included in the exhibition Wunderkammer: Miniatures and Curiosities at Koplin Del Rio Gallery in Los Angeles, CA - February 23 - March 30, 2013

This is a collaborative project that focuses on objects from the life of my daughter Temma . In the last few months Chicago artist Rachael McHan has been working as one of Temma's care-givers. While we have been friends for quite a while and she has been acquainted with Temma, her recent experience informs her understanding of Temma and the role of these objects in her life.

The procedure for this work is as follows:

1) We choose an object (that is part of Temma's daily world) that we are interested in working with.

2) Rachael starts the piece, working either from the actual object or a photograph that she has taken of it. She works on the piece until she is ready to pass it on.

3) I work on the image (from the original object, Rachael's photograph or my imagination) until it says hello.

The end.
