Dark day over London

Rather a cliched shot. Taken with the camera on a beanbag on a bin placed conveniently outside the Tate. It was generally quite bright today, but there was a strong wind and I captured a few minutes while there were dark clouds behind the dome of St Paul's Cathedral.

35mm, full-frame body

2 min exposure

F/14.0

Lee Big stopper with 2-stop hard ND grad over the sky

Processed with Topaz Adjust and then Topaz BW Effects with different settings on two layers. The top layer is roughly the "Low Key II" presets, and the bottom layer is roughly the lighter "Classic" presets. I added some transparency so that the bottom layer would show through a little over the river, and along the structure of the bridge. I also darkened some of the peripheral buildings along the river.
