Mouse interaction video
This video was recorded as part of a research project studying Hanatvirus infection in wild mice in Utah. TimeScience built the Dearing lab a 9-camera recording system to record mouse interaction events. The lab has tagged most of the mice in this population with RFID tags. The seed tray in which the mice are foraging sits on an RFID tag reader. Our recording system let them record mouse activity on each of 9 reader trays for 12 hours a night at 4 frames per second. Our playback software allowed them to co-visualize the RFID reader data with the video to track and analyze mouse interactions that may lead to Hantavirus transmission.
