Rayhan, Lev & Evgeni - Strangers # 207/300

I saw and heard them laugh and I wanted to be part of this joyous moment. I stopped to talk to the three friends.

"I love it when people laugh, it's really contagious!", I said laughingly. May I take some pictures of you guys?"

"Well yes, sure," they all replied in one voice.

I introduced myself and asked for their names.

Rayhan, Lev & Evgeni aka Genya. The girls are 19 and the boy is 23.

Rayhan means basil en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basil and Lev means heart in Hebrew.

I love it when names have a meaning.

Evgeni is old Greek and means noble, well born. There are many variants to this name. www.behindthename.com/name/evgeni

Genya came to Israel with his family as a one year old baby from Russia. He is practically Israeli, despite his name and looks. While I could tell that Rayhan was Israeli, I wondered whether Lev was Israeli, too. I was surprised to hear that she was the fourth generation born in this country.

It was a happy encounter on the beach, I enjoyed talking to these sweet youngsters.

"Would you like me to send you the pictures?"

"Yes, it'd be a nice memory of this moment," Lev said and the two other agreed.
