2024 - Vancouver - Van City Scape Mural by Ola Volo

This mural on Industrial Avenue has always attracts my attention but this day with the complimenting colour "dutch love" delivery vehicle parked in front it said do a click, click.

The mural is one of several on The Arts Factory building.

THE MURAL:

A Vancouver Mural Fest (VMF) 206 entry "Van City Scape" by Ola Volo.

Ola Volo (BFA, Emily Carr University) is a Canadian Mural artist and illustrator from Kazakhstan with a distinctive style drawn from folklore, multiculturalism and identity.

DUTCH LOVE:

from their website.

There’s a new normal in town and its name is Cannabis.

Our aim is to make the cannabis buying experience disarming, compassionate and human.

We’re calling bullshit on the stigma. Mother Earth put this good plant here with purpose—let us introduce you to a few of them.

We were publicans first, by virtue of two decades experience in hospitality as Freehouse Collective, running public houses, cocktail clubs and barbershops.

Our DNA is rich with an affinity for culture, relentless pursuit of great products and warm service attitude. We’ve summoned our passion for these things to energize into this modern retail brand.

For these reasons and others, people roll with us.

THE ARTS FACTORY:

Located at 281 Industrial Avenue, the factory supports local art + culture through the creation of a arts hub.

The multidisciplinary arts facility includes 21,000 square feet of combined workshops, studio spaces, offices and common areas.
