Windpower 2, Altamont Pass, California

I'm like the 9,000th photog to take this shot, but it's just so gorgeously strange. These things are maybe 80 ft. high. I thought they were beautiful. Can't actually imagine why anyone would not want them spinning away in the ocean a mile or 2 offshore -- especially in place of pollution-spewing power plants.
