The novelty of July snowpack is an invitation to snowpack tourism.
This past July 13th I was given an opportunity to tromp around on a high-altitude snowpack near a parking lot in a national park. I took off my shirt and snapped photos of the midsummer snow.
I live in Minnesota so I don't want for snow experiences, but by the time I get to summer I've usually long forgotten all my memories of how snow feels: Cold!
