These were rocks in sparkling shallows in Bear Creek in drought in Minnesota.

Bear Creek was badly channelized, thru a sterile barren urban parkland.

In Rochester, Minnesota, on September 3rd, 2023, was Bear Creek as viewed from a pedestrian bridge in Slatterly Park, during an extreme drought as declared by the National Weather Service.

 

Bear Creek flows to the South Fork Zumbro River, which converges with the Middle Fork Zumbro River to form the Zumbro River, which flows to the Mississippi River.
