In downtown Jackson, Michigan, on August 12th, 2018, buildings at 135 W Cortland St., built circa 1890 (left) and circa 1900 (right) according to Appendix A of a 2004 survey by Commonwealth Cultural Resources Group, Inc., on the south side of West Cortland Street between South Jackson Street and South Mechanic Street.

Until sometime between September 2017 and August 2018 the second floors of both buildings were covered by a single mid-20th century sign for Vermeulen's Furniture.
