Obnoxious residential building in Long Island City, erected 2017.
It is called "The Jackson" and looks ridiculous.
"WHERE INDUSTRIAL LEGACY MEETS MODERN LUXURY," went the banners hung at the site during the building's construction.
"The unmistakable two-story high rhythm of exposed concrete and panoramic window wall makes The Jackson a true expression of the industrial aesthetic refined," goes the building website.
"Unmistakeable two-story high rhythm of exposed concrete and panoramic window wall" is unmistakeably a translation, right? But what was the original language? I'm reading here that "the Jackson is a collaboration between Charney Construction & Development, Ascent Development, and Tavros Capital Partners."
