Kansas City excellent tree.

This was late in October yet the leaves still looked young, green, and healthy.

It was smart to select a color of guywire that would be camouflaged by the tree's backdrop of panels of red granite. Guywires cause trees physical pain.

The thing is probably a Cercis reniformis 'Oklahoma,' a/k/a Cercis canadensis var. texensis 'Oklahoma.' Ah, the 'Oklahoma redbud.'
