A peak at Water Orton
Class 45 No.45112 "The Royal Army Ordnance Corps", probably heading a Poole - Newcastle service, approaches Water Orton at speed on 12/7/85.
I photographed this locomotive a few weeks previously and no name plate could be seen but in this shot, of the other side, it is clearly visible.
Originally numbered D61, I'm delighted to find 45112, although withdrawn in May 1987, is still with us in 2011, preserved by FM Rail.
