After sightseeing in Timisoara we had a last drink on a nice terrace and then our long ride back to Holland started. Firest we had to drive on some smaller roads, but then we crossed the Romanian-Hungarian border and came on a comfortable highway. We did not see much of Hungary as we just wanted to get as far as possible. We were hoping to get to Linz, where we could stay with a friend from Couichsurfing. Just before crossing the Hungarian-Austrian border we stopped in Hegyeshalom, to meet a friend who actually lives in Timisoara. He is an actor and he is living for some months in Hungary to work on an international theatre production. We had not seen each other for several years and he was changed a lot (check out his older pictures). He was there with a collegue and they were both drunk, although they had to perform on the stage within an hour. Most of the restaurants in the village were closed, but opposite the station was a place where we could eat a gulash dish outside.
