Smelted

The ruins of the a copper smelter in the pretty little town of Greenwood, BC. At one time, it was the centre of a bustling copper mining district. The ruins were touted as "not to be missed" but in the end were not at all easily accessible. One can make in the distance the enormous black slag heap from the smelter. Greenwood's copper industry did not survive the end of the First World War and it's failing demand for brass shell casings.
