A place to sit and think

Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf, known as the Upper Gushing Falls in English, on The Elidir Trail that runs by the River Neath in Wales. This is the northernmost named fall on the trail.

The trail is also said to contain the entrance to the fairy kingdom, easy to understand why. An amazing series of falls, in a narrow gorge, I only wish I could visit in spring or autumn when the falls really gush! This one was from summer. Truly a remarkable place of natural beauty.

Soon you guys will be bored of shots from the Elidir Trail...I took a few. I will try and space them out a bit!

The shutter speed of the image is from the shot I used for the trees, the wind was strong so blurring water also meant heavy blur on the trees too. I think the fall shot here was 25 seconds. I wish I had used my polariser too...oh well, live and learn :)
