siri.thompson says: In Ova's photo, I feel that I've been taken on a journey inside this man's head. He's an older man and most likely has seen a lot of change in his time. The city he lives in now is much more modern than he remembers. His slight sneer shows his displeasure at the developments. I like his right eye set into the background but still staring.

siri.thompson says: Violet has a wonderful photo with a lovely colour palette. The rich yellows on either side of the photo (one real, one reflection) serve to focus our attention on the reflection of the man on the left. From looking at this man, I feel the intensity of his stare, a concentrated look. I like the idea that he is very unhappy with Violet for taking this photo, but in reality he is probably day dreaming while looking outside the window.

siri.thompson says: I like Michele's take on the direct eye contact. Everyone is posing for their own photos but when someone else takes their photo, they seem very self-conscious. It's an interesting moment. The girl's hand to her lip makes me feel she's a little shy and nervous at having her photo taken, in comparison with the other 2 people who are unaware their photos have been taken. The lady on the left with the concentrated look is interesting as well. I'm thinking she's looking at her photo and not entirely happy with it.

siri.thompson says: I like the ambiguity of this moment. Although I think that it's some sort of Easter celebration, the man's gaze makes me slightly uneasy. It's a nice full frame, and the hands reaching are a nice touch and offset the direct glare of the man. I like that both sides of the photo are framed using the women and their head scarves and baby Jesus' (I think) eyes and hands add to the moment. The background of a front porch of a house enhances the uncertain feeling of the situation.

siri.thompson says: Although her eye contact isn't as clearly accentuated as in other shots in the pool, I feel that it is sufficiently there and with her expression, I get the feeling she's a very kindly and sweet person. In general I really enjoy this photo and I like that it's not just about the woman in the front looking. The tree behind with all it's twists leads my eye across the frame. I really like the man on the left and the tire hanging on the right.

siri.thompson says: In this scene, I like that everyone is looking away from the photographer except the priest. The priest reminds me of a headmaster of a school giving a student a very displeased look (not that I've seen that look ever). He seems as if he is a very pleasant man, but in this instance I fear he'll be giving the photographer a bit of a telling off. I really like this photo with the movement of people, the feeling of the procession and the guy on the right looking at his papers makes me smile a bit as he seems to be engrossed in something other than the procession.
