I met TC on a Sunday afternoon while walking down along Detroit's river walk. TC asked me if I could help him out and I told him about my $2 Portrait Project and asked him if he wanted to participate and he agreed.
TC is 43 years old. He said everyone in his family had died and that he never had kids. He told me that he was born and raised in Detroit. TC said that he used to work in a tool dye stamp factory where he used to make parts for the Big 3 auto makers. He said with the downsizing of the automobile industry he was laid off.
TC told me that he collected unemployment for a while but that he couldn't find work and after the unemployment ended he ended up out on the streets.
We chatted for a bit longer and then both of us each went our own separate way along the river walk.
