Cockchafer - Melolontha melolontha
Had to evict this blighter from my geraniums not that I expected it to do them any harm.
It wouldn't do me the honour of showing its fan like antennae for my photograph and to add insult to injury I realised its got more hair than I have !!! ;0)
Quite bulky beetles and very ungainly in flight.
As a lad out moth collecting in the evening near the house lights I have had them collide with me and get entangled in my hair ........... when I had some that is ! Happy days.
