Salome and Tianxiao crack open an argan fruit (Essaouira, Morocco)
We took a short break from exploring the woodwork industry in Essaouira today. Two of our grade 10 students, Salome and Tianxiao, help to crack open the Argan fruit. One of the first steps in a long process to produce Argan oil. 40kg of fruit and 15 hours of manual labor goes in to making just 1 liter of oil!
