Solidarity with the Stansted 15 - 11 December 2018
Solidarity rally outside the UK Home Office for the Stansted 15 - defendants in a recent trial for blocking deportations - who were found guilty under anti-terrorism laws for stopping a plane from taking off. The shocking convictions have been condemned by numerous human rights groups and politicians as a grave injustice and a threat to the right to peaceful protest. Speakers at the rally included some of the defendants, politicians from the Labour and Green parties and others who campaign on immigration and asylum rights and people affected by the draconian legislation brought in by the Conservative Party.
