The camera works by pulling a string and it spins around 360 degrees exposing the film as it scrolls around.

 

The shadow on the left is me, with the camera on my head (which is the only way to keep yourself out of the image.) The hand is also mine, unfortunately it is almost impossible to pull the string and get your hand out of the way quick enough.
