Mrs. Shaheen Fatima-Project Aware
Project Aware is a project for HIV/AIDs awareness in villages in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The goal of this project is to improve knowledge and health outcomes through education and dialogue. The project will target women of scheduled classes (indigenous minorities) in these villages. Women have a serious debt of knowledge about sexual diseases. Poverty, illiteracy, patriarchy makes the subject taboo and there are no government schemes. My name is Shaheen Fatima and I have a background in sociology graduate. I will be working with Ms. Rekha Kukreti, a HIV Councilor in the Civil Hospital Vikasnagar and Ms. Soma Das a freelance community motivator.
