Ivonne Yanez - Workshop on Climate Change With Indigenous Kichwa Communities in Ecuadorean Amazon

Napo river local kichwa communities are organised and interested to held a workshop on climate change, forests and indigenous rights. This workshop will be help in one of the communities and will strength the defence of the communities' territories and livelihoods. These communities live ate the northern border of the Yasuni national park and are threaten by oil industry expansion, and deforestation as a direct consequence. The training workshop will give them more arguments and tools to their territories. There will be an special attention to have a majority of women attending the workshop. There will be a memoir that will be given back to the communities.
