Gem of a Rangefinder
As you might know, I'm a complete gear junkie and I'm not proud of it... Should be shooting instead of getting more cameras... but my oh my is this a beautiful camera. It's the most valued camera I've owned to date!
This is the Fuji TX-2, (Hasselblad XPan ii is the replica) a panoramic rangefinder with the normal kit lens 45mm f/4. I got this off another photographer here in Ireland and it's in very good condition as you can see. :D Here are my first thoughts on the TX-2:
-It's quite wide and it's hefty- feels well made.
-Frame lines well lit and the focus ring is very smooth, but the focusing ring is a bit small, not much grip.
-I like the Av mode and manual with readings inside the viewfinder.
-Hand grip is nice
-Easy, swift film loading and quite motor (it prewinds film)
It's such a pretty camera, gonna get some strap on this gem and go out shooting soon and see how good the lens is. It's well known that the three lenses, 30/45/90 for these Xpan/TX cameras are sharp as tack and very well made...
BTW, shot this on my Helios and I think I see some swirly bokeh!
