Soldiers assigned to Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), conduct plane side honors in honor of U.S. Army Sgt. Billy V. Rodgers, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 31st Regimental Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, at Reagan National Airport, Virginia, September 23, 2021. Rodgers, of Panama, Oklahoma, was reported missing in action on December 2, 1950, after his unit was attacked by enemy forces near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea. Following the battle, his remains could not be recovered, he was accounted for April 9, 2020. Rodgers will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
