South Carolina Guardsman provides security while on a mission in Afghanistan
PAKTIKA PROVINCE, Afghanistan – U.S. Army Sgt. Terrance Ray provides security while on a mission in Orgun in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, April 11. Ray, a native of Bennettsville, S.C., is a member of the security force element for the Paktika Provincial Reconstruction Team’s Orgun detachment and was on hand to provide security for the PRT’s civil affairs team during a key leader engagement as they discussed the village’s most pressing needs and concerns. Paktika PRT is a joint effort whose mission is to help legitimize the government of Afghanistan through development, governance and agricultural initiatives.
