Mindful
Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea) - male on patrol
I've been doing this since 2009 and still get a buzz out of it.
Engaging with the subject; following the flight and only pressing the shutter when the shot presents itself.
My camera is over a decade old with a frame rate of 6 shots per second, but I only burst 2 or 3 - when the eye is in focus.
With today's camera tech in-flighters have become a lot easier, although I do wonder how many failed bursts lead to a keeper.
