Peep my ride

The Alamo Drafthouse Downtown … an Austin cinematic icon. After dinner we killed some more time at the Alamo while the lines for Confessions of a Superhero grew outside in the rain. The Raleigh that sports the Dry Wit license plate. Eric parked it upstairs, out of the rain, where he could keep it safe from everyone ... except my peeps!

My sister, Margaret is the theater cashier here during SXSW. When the Film Awards show takes over my Convention Center Theater space I go hang out with her for 5 hours. This year it was cold and rainy. Eric, the theater manager, gave us each a complimentary meal coupon for Hickory Street Patio Café and Drinkery so I played with rainy pictures while we waited for a cab. That never came. So we ended up walking ½ block to Spaghetti Warehouse. We’ll have those free meals another time.

SXSW 3/13/07 - The South by Southwest Film Conference lasts only a couple of days, but the movies are screened through the end of the Music Festival. I sold every single admission ticket to every movie shown at the Austin Convention Center. The crowds are big, the movies are great, and a good time was had by all!
