2008-03-20 Sheryl Crow

Early on, Sheryl was a backup singer for Michael Jackson. But it wasn't the big break she expected. Not long after that, her self titled debut album got rejected by her label. So, she started jamming with a group of musicians every Tuesday night. Those sessions led to Sheryl's breakthrough album, 'Tuesday Night Music Club.' Sheryl's never looked back. Since then, she's released 8 records, had a bunch of memorable hits, she's won nine Grammy awards, and sold 25 million records. Her personal life has made headlines too. In 2003, Sheryl began dating Lance Armstrong - the 7 time Tour de France winner and famous cancer survivor. They split in 2006, then, two weeks later, Sheryl was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, she was diagnosed early. And within a year, she was feeling good and ready to move on. Now, she helps raise money for breast cancer reasearch. She's adopted a baby named Wyatt - who makes an appearance her new album 'Detours.'
