Japanese Wooden House Fitted as a Lamp

Origin: Japan. Circa: 1930. Period: 20th Century. Japanese Wooden House fiitted as a lamp is a traditional domestic structure and is created entirely from wood and woven cloth to replicate in a reduced scale an actual house. The elegant proportions and natural materials reflect Japanese values allowing for the free flow of natural elements to create harmony and peacefulness. Surprisingly the entire roof of this house is removable reflecting its original use as a table top candle stand. Now the piece has been wired as a lamp fitted for American electricity where the delicate illumination from the bulb casts a warm glow in an interior. As the structure is complete on all sides it may easily be placed upon a surface where it may be seen from all sides. Shop @ The HighBoy.
