Elektrozavodskaya

This is Elektrozavodskaya station on the Moscow Metro. This art-deco station was built in 1944 and is on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line. I've complained before that Moscow is actually a very unphotogenic city, despite what you imagine. I've also stated that the best thing in Russia's capital city, at least for a photographer, is the metro system. The added bonus of the metro is that, while a lot of stations are very ornate, they're quite different from one another.
This is evidently near an old lightbulb factory, hence the design. The name itself translates to something like 'electricity factory'. I'm sure some of my Russian fans can confirm or dispute this...
I can't remember what time me and Mike arrived here, but it was pretty quiet due to being slightly out of the way.
