I've been so busy recently! Lots of deadlines coming up, plus training and teaching going on. I'm also rebuilding and redesigning my website, so look out for that in the next few weeks (assuming I get the time). Sorry for not commenting or viewing on your photos recently; I barely had time to process this shot, let alone look at others. If you don't get a comment off me and only a favourite, it might be because I've started using Flipboard on my iPhone. It's a great way to quickly scan through places like Flickr, 500px and Instagram. If I see a photo I like, I'll fav and hopefully try and comment on it when I get to a desktop.

Anyway, this photo is of Battersea Power Station, perhaps the favourite location of my friend and fellow photographer Jay (Vulture Labs). Check out his work, it's amazing! I was in a video shoot for our upcoming Urban Krav Maga self-defence app/DVD and, as this started at 10:00 on a Sunday, I figured that sunrise was only a few hours before this, so I might as well make the effort.

I got down to my usual location and although the weather was clear, the sunrise was less than amazing. I waited around for a while and suddenly the sky burst with colour. This only lasted about 10 minutes, but was stunning. Then everything turned grey again.

I really liked when I processed this series of shots in black and white, but in the end I felt remiss in not showing you the wonderful colours of the sun.

Speaking of sun, one of my St Paul's Cathedral sunset photos was used on page three of The Sunday Times. I didn't even realise (as they got it through Getty Images), but I kept getting texts saying "congratulations" and "I think I've seen your photo". Not sure how much I'm getting paid for it yet...

Also, my previous photograph got made Editor's Choice on 500px.

As usual, this photo looks more vibrant when viewed in the lightbox.
