Another island shot, but this time I've moved from the Balkans to the Baltics. Myself and Greg had got up and hiked down to the coast for sunrise, expecting that it would be too cloudy to see much. And we were completely right. Absolutely no sun whatsoever. On the plus side, it gave a fantastic blue colour over everything.
I chose a small aperture to increase the exposure time and give the water a nice still, ice-like effect. The golden building you see on the horizon is part of an island fortress called Suomenlinna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site .
This shot really has more impact when you view it in the lightbox (Press L).
