This is the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin. It's just down from the Brandenburg Gate. It consists of 2,711 concrete blocks of varying heights on an undulating paved area. Beneath this memorial, is a visitors' centre that give a timeline of massacres between 1933 and 1945. This not only includes murdered Jews, but also includes the disabled, homosexuals, Sinti and Roma; all of whom perished at the hands of Nazi Germany. It is totally free of charge to visit and incredibly eye-opening.

The title of this photo, Six Million, refers to the approximate number of Jewish people murdered during the genocide. If you include the other groups of people mentioned, the figure is somewhere between 11 million and 17 million.
