Sunset at Registan Square in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

 

Last June, I spend some time going around Karakalpakstan for their tourism board, plus for Uzbekistan Tourism. Once the job was finished, I really wanted to visit Samarkand. I'd seen photos of Registan Square when I was younger and had an idea of a photo I wanted there. After two days of shooting at sunset and sunrise, I finally captured the image I had in my head all this time.
