Myself and Greg are just back from a fantastic trip around parts of Indochina, namely Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia. This was so much fun, I want to return early next year and explore some more, plus see some new friends I made during my time there. Myanmar has quickly shot to the top of my favourite countries.

This particular shot is sunrise at the Maha Wizaya Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. This temple is right beside the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, where so many famous political speeches have been made, such as by Aung San Suu Kyi. The problem with this pagoda is that is so busy! At the time I went, it was also covered in bamboo scaffolding. On the early morning taxi ride to there, I noticed this much smaller pagoda next to it, so figured this would be a great back-up location and I think I was right!

This is three exposures of the same scene: the main sunrise one, one for the foreground (a longer exposure to get ride of the numerous birds) and then an earlier one for the lights to give it that golden glow.

If you want to know about my processing techniques, feel free to get in contact and arrange a lesson :)
