About: Our Group was made up of students in 3 different second grade classes. Some days we all met together during recess and some days we worked on the project in art class. The group read 3 FDR quotes and picked "There is nothing I am as fond of as a tree". The group thought about all the animals, insects and birds that love trees too because they need trees to live and made a big list. Everyone in the group took turns painting a big tree and the background. The group drew some of the animals, insects and birds and cut other animals, insects and birds out of discarded animal reference books. The group collaged the pictures onto the painting. The group used foam letters to spell out the quote and added the words "and we agree!"
