The Pageant Theater, St. Louis
One of the amazing surprises to me when I was exploring St. Louis on my travels on Route 66 was the number of theatres that St. Louis has created and preserved. This is one of the newer venues, The Pageant, created and opened in 2000 to evoke memories of an old movie marquee and theatre that was just three blocks down from the Pageant's current location on the Delmar Loop. I was heartened to see how busy it was on a weekend night with folks lined up for live music.
