This gorgeous male rail appeared on a walk near my house yesterday morning as I was biking by. I immediately pulled up and proceeded to photograph the cooperative bird for an hour or so. It was a so cool to see him run within about 3 inches of me at some points. Eventually a baby started running around begging to be fed, but he was super secretive and I couldn't get a great shot. 2 others started calling from around me and I decided to pack up and let them live life. I won't forget it though!
